Christmas Eve Service

December 24 @ 5:30 pm

Christmas Eve Service
Monday, December 24, 2018
5:30PM Music Prelude
6:00PM Worship Service

We will gather in the evening for our traditional Christmas Eve service, with a beautiful prelude, music from the Chancel Choir, congregational carol singing, a message from Rev. David Coggins, and the celebration of Holy Communion. The service will conclude with the singing of “Silent Night” as we symbolically share the light of Christ, lighting our candles from the Christ Candle. We hope you, your family, and your friends will be able to join us for these special times, as we celebrate the birth of Christ!

Special note about the 5:30 Music Prelude: We will hear highly acclaimed and retired faculty artists from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Rodney Stucky and Mary Henderson. This husband and wife team has performed around the world.  Rodney is a master of the lute which is an early string guitar instrument ideal for our sanctuary, and he will accompany Mary Henderson, mezzo soprano. Also, we will hear a beautiful selection for piano and cello featuring Jeanne Kallenberg and Carol Suddath. Our music director William Henry Caldwell will also perform during this wonderful pre-service worship experience.
