Rebuilding Together Dayton 2017
April 29 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
First Baptist Church is sponsoring a house located at 953 Huron, Dayton 45402. The homeowner is Betty Smith and she is 76 years old. We will be working with DP&L and Normandy volunteers to do exterior painting, siding repair, bathroom door repairs/replacement, and yard work. There are plenty of tasks for any skill level. Donuts in the morning and lunch will be provided. You do not have to commit to the whole day! Ted Greenwood is the FBC Volunteer Coordinator and the House Captain is Kathy Storm. Volunteers should register online at www.rtdayton.org/volapp and select First Baptist Church in the group drop-down menu, or see Ted or Gina after worship on Sunday.
We have a special request for help with providing baked goods for the sack lunches given to volunteers on April 29. RTDayton puts together approximately 650 sack lunches, and we are asking for donations of baked goods–generally cookies or brownies–to put in those lunches (roughly 110 dozen). If you can help out with a few dozen baked goodies, we ask that you place at least two cookies or a good sized brownie in individual plastic sandwich bags, and bring them to the church by Noon on Friday, April 28th. If you plan to provide baked goods, please email the church office firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out a yellow card on Sunday and indicate how many dozen you will be donating so that we are sure we have enough.
