Forty Days to Feed the Hungryfood bank dayton

February 17 - April 4, 2010

Dayne C. and the Mission Board are organizing a food drive during the seasonof Lent to help stock our local Food Bank, which "is committed to relieving hunger through the acquisition and distribution of food to hungry people throughout the Miami Valley."  Collection barrels will be placed throughout the church and you can help by donating non-perishable food items such as hearty soups, stews, chili, PB&J, mac 'ncheese, canned meats, canned fish, nuts, rice, beans, evaporated milk, canned fruits & vegetables, cereals, pastas and canned sauces.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!

 

 

Valentine's Day Spaghetti Dinner: Show Some Love for the People of Haiti

In lieu of our regular Second Sunday Gathering on the Sunday, February 14th, the Baptist Youth Fellowship of FBC Dayton will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner to raise money for the people of Haiti, who continue to struggle following a major earthquake on January 12, 2010.  All proceeds will go towards The One Great Hour of Sharing - Haitian Relief Fund.

UPDATE!

The dinner on February 14th was a great success!  To date, the Baptist Youth Fellowship has raised nearly $800 for the relief efforts in Haiti.  Thanks to our youth and all who continue to support this cause.  Praise God!
